The brand new house owners of Paramount are placing their management group in place upfront of the closing of the Skydance merger on Aug. 7.
Andy Gordon, who leads the West Coast workplace of RedBird Capital Companions, is ready to take the position of chief working officer and chief strategic officer. RedBird teamed with Skydance to accumulate Paramount Global for $8.5 billion.
Gordon already works with Jeff Shell, who can be Paramount’s president and who has been at RedBird for the final two years following his exit from NBCUniversal.
Additionally becoming a member of Paramount can be Kevin MacLellan, who served as worldwide chairman of NBCU till 2020. MacLellan will take an identical position at Paramount.
MacLellan labored at NBCU for twenty years, and overlapped with Shell for 14 years. Within the memo saying MacLellan’s departure in 2019, Shell praised him as a “trusted pal and advisor,” noting he had overseen a workers of 2600 staff in 36 international locations and suggested on the acquisition of Sky.
Since then, MacLellan has been engaged on an actual property funding firm centered on Durham, N.C., as he waited out his NBCU non-compete.
Jim Sterner, the VP of human sources at Amazon Leisure in Culver Metropolis, will be part of Paramount as head of HR. Sterner has been with Amazon for 16 years, together with stints in London and Seattle.
The chief group is anticipated to be introduced on Monday.
