A pilot has died after an Indian fighter jet crashed whereas performing a show at an airshow in Dubai, officers have mentioned.
The Indian Air Power mentioned in an announcement: “IAF deeply regrets the lack of life and stands firmly with the bereaved household on this time of grief.
“A court docket of inquiry is being constituted, to determine the reason for the accident.”
The Hindustan Aeronautics Ltds Tejas jet crashed about about 14:10 native time (10:10 GMT), in line with the Related Press.
Dubai’s Media Workplace and the UAE Ministry of Defence have mentioned firefighters and emergency providers have “responded quickly” to the incident and are managing the scenario on-site.
Video footage of the aftermath of the crash reveals black smoke rising into the air.
India’s Chief of Defence Employees Gen Anil Chauhan mentioned in an announcement that each one ranks of the Indian Military “deeply remorse the incident” and “stand firmly” with the pilot’s bereaved household.
The Dubai Airshow 2025 web site says the occasion has attracted greater than 148,000 attendees and exhibitors from 1,500 firms.
The deadly crash occurred on the final day of the airshow which started on Monday, hosted at Al Maktoum Worldwide Airport.
