In 2021, Malik, together with Laxmi Agarwal, one other acid assault survivor, arrange the Courageous Souls Basis – a non-profit that provides authorized and financial support to acid assault survivors. The inspiration acts as a lifeline for many who have been shunned by society and their households and have nowhere to go for assist.
