Judy Greer revealed in a current episode of the “Dinner’s on Me” podcast that she handed on an audition for the function of Claire Dunphy on “Modern Family.”
Greer advised “Dinner’s on Me” host Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who portrayed Claire’s brother Mitchell Pritchett on the hit ABC sitcom, that was she was requested to audition for the Dunphy household matriarch. The half in the end went to Julie Bowen, who portrayed the character through the present’s 11-season run and obtained two Primetime Emmys for her efficiency.

I used to be like, ‘Nicely, I like touring lots, and I like doing all these motion pictures, and I like going to all these locations, and I like assembly all these folks.’”
Though she turned down the audition for a number one function on “Fashionable Household,” Greer did seem in a visitor function on the present’s first season as Denise, Phil Dunphy’s (Ty Burrell) ex-girlfriend.
