The autumn of Bashar al-Assad’s regime has not freed all of Syria’s prisoners.
Al-Sina jail holds greater than 5,000 detainees within the north-east of the nation, which is below Kurdish management.
These prisoners – together with some Britons – are suspected fighters and supporters of the so-called Islamic State group. Most are stated to have been loyal to it till its final stand in 2019.
The BBC’s senior worldwide correspondent, Orla Guerin, was given uncommon entry to go to the jail.
