Sherrone Moore was detained by police in Saline, Michigan, on Wednesday and was later turned over to a second space police division for investigation into potential costs, the Saline Police Division said.
“The Metropolis of Saline Police Division assisted in finding and detaining former College of Michigan soccer coach Sherrone Moore,” the division mentioned in an announcement launched to ESPN. “Mr. Moore was turned over to the Pittsfield Township Police Division for investigation into potential costs.”
The College of Michigan fired Moore as its head football coach earlier Wednesday following an investigation into Moore’s conduct with a workers member.
“U-M head soccer coach Sherrone Moore has been terminated, with trigger, efficient instantly,” the varsity mentioned in an announcement. “Following a College investigation, credible proof was discovered that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a workers member.
“The conduct constitutes a transparent violation of College coverage, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such conduct.”
Calls to the Saline and Pittsfield Township police departments haven’t been returned.
Moore, 39, spent two seasons as Michigan’s head coach after serving as an assistant coach with this system starting in 2018.
