A freed Palestinian detainee was overwhelmed to seek out out his household have been alive, after believing they’d been killed.
Shadi Abu Sido informed the BBC an Israeli jail officer had lied to him and informed him his household had been killed, and his house bombed.
However when he arrived in Gaza, he was overwhelmed to be greeted by his household.
The photojournalist says he was detained while reporting at al-Shifa hospital in March final 12 months.
Mr Sido spent 20 months in an Israeli jail and was one among almost 2,000 prisoners exchanged for Israeli hostages, below the primary section of the US-brokered ceasefire deal.
