Chad Duell, who has performed Michael Corinthos on “General Hospital” for 14 years, is exiting the ABC cleaning soap opera.
Duell introduced the information in an Instagram post on Saturday, writing, “After many unbelievable years with ‘Normal Hospital,’ I’ve determined to step away from the present. This wasn’t a simple determination for me, however it looks like the suitable time in my life. I’m past grateful to Frank Valentini, the solid, crew, and everybody behind the scenes who’ve been like household to me all through this wonderful journey.”
Duell ended his assertion with a message to his followers. “Thanks from the underside of my coronary heart in your unwavering assist and for letting Michael Corinthos be part of your lives,” he wrote. “Your love and encouragement has meant the world to me. This isn’t a goodbye — it’s a goodbye.”
In a post on X, “Normal Hospital” EP Frank Valentini revealed that “there aren’t any plans to recast [Duell’s] function presently.”
