Vacationers and residents of a city in south-west Iceland have been evacuated after a volcanic eruption.
The volcano is near the fishing city of Grindavik and the well-known Blue Lagoon spa, which is a well-liked attraction. A small variety of individuals refused to evacuate the city, native media reported.
The volcano has been spewing lava and smoke in a fiery show of orange and pink since Tuesday morning, creating an enormous crack within the floor which has grown to 1.2km (0.75 miles) lengthy.
