Brad Arnold, the lead singer and founding member of the American rock band 3 Doors Down, died on Saturday after a battle with most cancers. He was 47.
A rep for Arnold mentioned he died peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his spouse and household.
Arnold, the unique drummer and vocalist of three Doorways Down, helped type the band in 1996 in Escatawpa, Miss. He was answerable for writing and producing the 2000 hit “Kryptonite,” one of many group’s most enduring tracks. Arnold famously wrote the lyrics for the tune when he was simply 15 years outdated.
In Could of 2025, Arnold revealed in a social media video that he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer.
“Hey everyone, it’s Brad from 3 Doorways Down. I hope you’re having a terrific day in the present day,” he mentioned within the video. “Received some not so excellent news for you in the present day.
