Lithuania will start to shoot down balloons used to smuggle cigarettes from neighbouring Belarus, its prime minister has warned.

The measure comes after balloons coming into Lithuanian airspace pressured Vilnius Airport to shut a number of occasions over the previous week, together with on the weekend, with the federal government additionally closing Belarus border crossings quickly every time.
