Ukraine’s human rights ombudsman has denounced the alleged execution of 9 captured Ukrainian troops by Russian forces within the Kursk border area.

Dmytro Lubinets mentioned he had written to the United Nations and the Crimson Cross concerning the allegations, accusing Moscow of breaching “all the foundations and customs of warfare”.

The intervention follows reporting by Ukrainian battlefield evaluation web site DeepState, which revealed drone footage purporting to indicate the useless troops who it mentioned have been drone operators. Officers in Russia have but to touch upon the allegations.

Kyiv is believed to have deployed hundreds of troops into the Russian border area because it launched its shock incursion earlier this summer season.

The pictures revealed by DeepState confirmed the useless Ukrainian troops stripped to their underwear and mendacity face down in what seemed to be farmland in Kursk. The BBC can not indepenelty confirm the photographs.

The outlet mentioned the drone operators had been overrun by a fast Russian advance.
