The European Film Academy has added an additional 16 function movies to the longlist – generally known as the Characteristic Movie Choice – for the European Film Awards. With the already announced 29 films the listing contains 45 titles.
These movies will now be thought-about for the nomination stage of the European Movie Awards. The nominees will probably be revealed on Nov. 5.
Among the many titles are a number of Venice award-winners: Pedro Almodóvar‘s Golden Lion winner “The Room Subsequent Door,” Grand Jury Prize winner “Vermiglio,” Particular Jury Prize winner “April,” and Horizon winner “The New 12 months That By no means Got here.” Different titles embrace Edward Berger’s “Conclave,” Mike Leigh’s “Arduous Truths” and Luca Guadagnino’s “Queer.”
The movies have been chosen by the European Movie Academy Board, who consulted with a group of invited specialists.
The European Movie Awards happen on Dec. 7 in Lucerne, Switzerland.
