Bayern Munich‘s Josip Stanisic mentioned it was “silly” of him to push a ball boy off his stool after he tossed the ball away in stoppage time of their Champions League match towards Inter Milan on Wednesday.
A 2-2 draw within the second leg on the San Siro noticed hosts Inter advance to the semifinals 4-3 on combination.
Bayern had been pushing for a late winner when defender Stanisic tried to get the ball again into play rapidly, pushing the ball boy to the bottom in frustration when he threw the ball away from him.
The Inter bench leapt to their toes to confront Stanisic, who escaped punishment from the referee.
“Each group on this planet wastes time after they’re main,” Stanisic advised German newspaper Abenzeitung after the sport. “It was a bit silly of me to push him there.”
