Dawn Movies has set a U.S. launch date for “Bonus Track,” the function directorial debut from director Julia Jackman, written by Mike Gilbert, with a narrative by Josh O’Connor.
The approaching-of-age queer rom-com stars Joe Anders (“1917”) and Samuel Small (“So Awkward”), supported by an ensemble forged together with Ray Panthaki (“Boiling Level”), Susan Wokoma (“Enola Holmes”), Jack Davenport (“Ten %”), Alison Sudol (the “Unbelievable Beasts” franchise) and O’Connor (“Challengers”) in a cameo function.
Set in 2006 England, the story follows 16-year-old aspiring musician George (Anders), who befriends Max (Small), the son of a well-known musical duo, as they put together for a year-end expertise present. Their friendship evolves in sudden methods.
“Bonus Monitor” made its debut on the BFI London Movie Pageant and was launched within the U.Ok. as a Sky Unique movie. The movie is an Erebus Footage and Sky manufacturing, in affiliation with Lunapark Footage and Fortune Movies. Bankside Movies, from whom Dawn acquired the U.S. rights for the movie, handles worldwide gross sales.
The movie will launch theatrically within the U.S. on Oct. 11, which can also be Nationwide Coming Out Day.
Dawn Movies is a manufacturing and internationally centered distribution firm launched by Vertigo Releasing CEO Rupert Preston and chair Nigel Williams.
The corporate’s manufacturing credit embody “The Accused” and “Gassed Up.” On the distribution entrance, Dawn has launched movies reminiscent of “Beneath the Floor,” “The Lady within the Trunk,” “After Love,” and “Regulation of Tehran” within the U.S. They not too long ago acquired Luna Carmoon’s Venice winner “Hoard” and the motion thriller “Sunray” for U.S. distribution.
