Park Chan-wook has lined up an all-star solid for his subsequent movie, the western thriller “The Brigands of Rattlecreek”: Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey, Oscar nominee Austin Butler, Emmy nominee Pedro Pascal and Chinese language star Tang Wei.
The vaunted South Korean director (“No Different Alternative,” “Oldboy” and “The Handmaiden”) will direct the movie and adapt the unique screenplay by S. Craig Zahler (“Dragged Throughout Concrete,” “Bone Tomahawk”).
The new bundle, a ardour mission for director Park will hit the market on the Cannes Movie Competition, the place Park is about to preside over the competition jury. Patrick Wachsberger and Legendary’s label 193 will signify worldwide gross sales for the movie.
“The Brigands of Rattlecreek” is described as “an iconic story of vengeance and retribution set within the American West.” A synopsis of the mission explains: “A capstone of the themes Park Chan-wook has plumbed throughout his whole physique of labor to this point, the movie is an emotionally explosive and visually beautiful meditation on the implications of violence, the worth of household, the ability of reminiscence, and the true value of life.”
Park will even produce for Moho Movie, alongside Bradley Fischer (“Zodiac”). Jisun Again for Moho Movie, Mike Medavoy and Georgia Kacandes are govt producers.
