Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay stated Matthew Stafford reported to camp after the workforce was capable of regulate the quarterback’s contract.
Stafford was due $31 million this season on the four-year, $160 million deal that he signed with the Rams in 2022. Whereas he has three years remaining on the deal, this upcoming season was set to be the ultimate one with assured wage.
As Stafford enters his age-36 season, the veteran quarterback was in search of extra safety.
Stafford ranks twelfth within the league in common annual wage for a quarterback, tied with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones.
