UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher has warned that the battle in Iran and wider area is having a “huge impression” on civilians, describing it as “a second of grave, grave peril”.
He additionally voiced considerations about “secondary impacts” of the violence, saying the battle risked fuelling a rise in extremism and polarisation within the Center East and past.
“We have got to step again from the brink proper now”, he informed the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg.
